Workshop Description

"Creating Connections:
Deepening Adult/Child Interactions"

This workshop is designed to develop an awareness of specific supportive interactions to build our skills in connecting with children and supporting their development. We will explore three focus areas:

• Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication

• Modeling & Enhancing Caring, Respectful, and Cooperative Behaviors

• Facilitating & Helping Children Interpret and Learn From Experience

Through focusing on these areas adults will learn a variety of interaction strategies including modeling, facilitation techniques, coaching questions, parallel and social play, pacing, and observation skills.
